Universal Scratch Tester 413

Scratch tester for surfaces, extremely finely graduated (0.01 N steps), with various test tips.  All methods that can be used with the SCRATCH HARDNESS TESTER 413 are basically based on the same method: The sample is mounted on a rotating table (number of revolutions in the standard version: 5 min-1). The test tool is attached to a load arm with adjustable weight that allows the tool pressure to be adjusted to the sample (load range of 0 – 10 N in 0.1 N increments and load range of 0 – 1 N in 0.01 N increments). The resistance of the sample to this effect is assessed visually using the scratch track (refer to the operating instructions for details).

Hardness Test Rod 318 /318S /318C

This successful and extremely useful scratch hardness tester is in the form of a pocket instrument. Also for tests on curved surfaces. Carbide ball tip, diameter alternatively 0.5/0.75/1.0 mm. Spring force 0 – 20 N divided into 3 measuring ranges.  (Model 318S designed with rolling head)  This instrument has been designed for the measurement of the hardness of protective coatings. The degree of hardness of paint films, plastic coatings, etc. can be accurately measured and recorded with the Hardness Test Pencil, Models 318, 318 S and 318 C, no matter whether on a level or curved surface, small or large.

Pendulum Hardness Tester 299/300

Damping of the oscillations of a pendulum resting on the coating material in accordance with the standards. Konig and Persoz pendulum interchangeable. Dust cover included in the basic unit. Optional accessories: Opto-electronic counter with acoustic signal at test end with manual or automatic deflection of pendulum.

Scratch Hardness Tester 293 TRIFORCE

Pencils of various grades of hardness are moved over the painted surface at an angle of 45° to the horizontal with a force of 5 N, 7.5 N or 10 N (± 0.1 N). The pencil hardness is defined by those two grades of hardness the softer one of which just produces a writing trace while the next harder one leaves a perceptible scratch on the coating.

Indentation Hardness Tester 263

A steel block with circular indented inserts is applied onto the test surface and produces a pressure mark, the length of which is measured with a microscope. The impression hardness in accordance with Buchholz is established from the length of the impression, using the standard table

.

Scratch Hardness Tester 249 LINEARTESTER

The optimized scratch hardness tester LINEARTESTER 249 is intended, in addition to its original purpose of application, i. e. to establish the ability of a surfaces to resist damage by scratching, also for several other tests: – Scribe/Scratch tests – To and fro-cycle abrasion tests – Crockmeter tests – MEK tests, tests determining the resistance against solvents in general or wipe test, respectively.  Scratching force in the range of (0.5 – 20) N, with electromotive drive, including circular level, power pack and operating manual.

MultiGrit Tester 508VDA & 508SAE

The MULTI GRIT TESTER 508 VDA is a stone hammer blow testing instrument that at first was developed in co-operation with the “Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA)” (Association of the Automotive Industry) but now also meets the specifications of national and international standards. The MULTI GRIT TESTER 508 VDA is used to assess the ability of single and multiple layers of paints and similar coating materials to stand up to the impacts caused by small bodies of low mass hitting the specimen at high speed as experienced on road and rail vehicles and other equipment used in the transport field.    The new MULTI GRIT TESTER 508 SAE is a stone hammer blow testing instrument equipped with an adjustable impact angle, contrary to the execution of VDA.   508 VDA acc. To DIN EN ISO 20567-1, FORD FLTM BI 157-06, RENAULT D24 1702, PSA D24 1312, DAIMLER DBL 5416.   508 SAE acc. To  SAE J 400, ASTM D 3170.

Options include: Impact Cabinet RIMpact I (for models 508/SAE and VDA) Enables the user to test complete rims respectively and in principle several other larger sized specimens.

Analysis system GRITSCAN for the automatic evaluation of impact images. It is a surface analysis system consisting of a combination of hardware and software, especially for capture and analysis at impact images.

Bend & Impact Tester 471

Practical test method to determine the quality of coated metal sheets by deformation in a sudden blow The Bend and Impact Tester is used to measure both flexibility and impact resistance of light gauge sheet metal, or tube stock, coatings in a single operation. The test simulates punching, beading, crimping and similar operations.

Variable Impact Tester 304

ERICHSEN Impact Tester 304 are used for determination of impact resistance, deformability and tensibility of coatings and substrates as well as adhesion of the coatings. The ball impact test simulates this type of stress under standardised conditions. A ball punch of defined weight the bottom of which is of fixed diameter, is dropped freely down a guide tube from an agreed or variable height.  ASTM D 2794 ISO 6272-1 ISO 6272-2
